In Partnership with Card My Yard
Surprise Your Grad 🎓️

Graduation is upon us! (Also, does it feel like BYU graduation traffic came a little early this year? Maybe it’s just us.)

Card My Yard sells out every year during graduation season so our plan is to send everyone another reminder in an upcoming email so you can beat the mid-May rush for their signs (or you can just reserve a sign now).

But don’t forget — they do more than just graduations.

Advertise your company’s special event, welcome home mom & baby or a returning missionary, surprise grandpa for his birthday, whatever!

Card My Yard does all the set up and take down. Just book the card and they’ll do the rest. (Plus you can use this coupon code to get $15 off: PROVOWHATSUP15)

🥐 La Brioche Argentine Bakery’s fight to stay alive 🇦🇷
KSL — After being told by the the Utah County Health Department that they had to provide a customer restroom (they’ve operated for 11 years without one), the mother-daughter duo who owns La Brioche Argentine Bakery said 'Our options are either to close or ask for help.' They created a GoFundMe and have raised $5,200 (their goal is $30,000).

“I am very happy because we have had a lot of connection with the community. Argentines, Latinos, Americans, all the citizens of the community here in Utah, and even people who have come from other states, have given us a lot of love and support…”

🏗️ Groundbreaking ceremony for the expansion of the Provo Airport
KUTV — “This expansion positions PVU not just as a regional airport, but as a vital part of Utah’s growing transportation network—ready to welcome the world, including visitors for the 2034 Winter Olympics.”

🍜 Shhh Up Cafe going out of business
We were sad when we heard the news about Shhh Up Cafe. While there’s still time, (we aren’t sure when their last day of operations is), why not try out at least some of their many unique dishes/desserts/drinks.

The Provo Community UCC will be holding Maundy Thursday service which will include a shared supper to commemorate the Last Supper. Be sure to RSVP!
(We have always been curious what "Maundy" meant, so we finally looked it up. It comes from the Latin word "mandatum", meaning "commandment," and according to some it refers to the commandment to serve others. So, now you know.)

Bikes, ski’s, boots, paddle boards, and more! Sale starts Thursday and goes through Saturday, and the deals get better and better as the selection gets smaller. See their official price list here.

BYU Baseball vs Arizona
According to the website, Burger Supreme will be presenting BYU vs Arizona. Hey hey! not sure what that means, but sounds yummy. Anyway, the wildcats are #22 in the nation, so it could be a tough game. Also, Arizona baseball made national headlines recently after a few paratroopers were injured at one of their recent games. Let’s hope there are no injuries at this one, and go Cougars!

Family Night Shark Dissection 🦈

When was the last time you dissected a shark for family night? Yeah, too long.

Well, here’s your chance to make it up to your kids! The Little Beakers Science Lab for Kids in Orem is putting on a Family Night Dissection: Shark edition this Friday. We’re not sure if there are refreshments at this “Family Night”, but we’re also not sure you’re going to want refreshments after you’re done anyway. Or you might really be craving sushi — could go either way.

Utah Shakespeare Festival: Henry IV 👑

The Utah Shakespeare Festival touring company has been touring Nevada, Wyoming, Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona, and Utah, and as far as we can tell this is their last stop!

And it’s a good thing too, they’ve probably gotten tons of practice and they’re ready to blow our minds with a 75-minute performance of Henry IV at the Orem Library! This is a one-night only show, and it should be suitable for kids 8 and older (according to the library).

Orem Library | 7pm-8:15pm | More info

🎭 Short Attention Span Theatre
We hear all the time that people just don’t have the attention spans for a full length film. Probably not a good thing, but you know what is a good thing? Getting out and enjoying what this great community of ours has to offer! On Friday, UVU will be holding their annual 10-minute play reading event. It’s fast-paced, creative and quick-witted and only $5.

Wellness Wednesday Spotlight: Preston Walker Therapy

Teen Crisis Volunteer to Mental Health Trailblazer 🧠

“Whether it’s better sleep, improved relationships, or academic success, it’s amazing to witness how people thrive when they have the right tools.”

Preston Walker Therapy treats PTSD, ADHD, and anxiety using bringing life changing, brain mapping technology (also know as quantitative electroencephalogram or QEEG).

The story behind the business: As a teen, Preston volunteered at a suicide prevention hotline — an experience that sparked a passion for mental health. He earned a psychology degree, became a Marriage and Family Therapist, and opened Preston Walker Therapy in 2016.

The clinic began with traditional therapy, later adding neurofeedback and QEEG brain mapping. But the real game changer came when Preston developed a way for people to do neurofeedback at home, making advanced treatment more affordable and accessible — especially for rural families and busy professionals.
