SkiJoring 🐎⛷️

What else can we say? The picture says it all.
SkiJoring, or Ski Joring, (apparently either works), is when a horse pulls a skier through a course with gates, jumps, and rings. The snow has been a concern this year, but as everyone knows, ski jorists are not the type to sit around, so they’re making the snow if they have to. No matter what, this event is HAPPENING!

“Respite Care Utah at Kids On The Move is the temporary care of children with special needs, providing a short period of rest or relief to their usual caregivers. We provide Respite Care for children with special needs to give their families a 3 hour break on weekend nights so caregivers can relieve stress, renew energy, and restore balance.
Volunteers will be paired with a child to care for, in a group setting and under the supervision of KOTM Staff. You get to watch over your assigned child, allowing them to play and have fun safely! Volunteers will also help with clean up afterwards.”

🧓 Family Home Evening at the Orem Rehabilitation and Nursing Center
“The residents at this facility are anxious for uplifting activities. They are served with religious worship opportunities through the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. But, one time a week to get together for social interaction and religious worship isn't enough in a long week to satisfy the desire for being together with others.”
“We are looking for people to come over once in a while, even once a year to share spend time with Orem Rehab residents. You can volunteer to sing, play an instrument, share almost any kind of talent, read a story, organize a game night, bring pets for a pet show and tell, etc., etc.”
