What's Happening in Provo and Orem | Jan. 10, 2025

What’s Up Provo! Some of us at “What’s Up Provo!” are fans of dark chocolate, and so some of us are excited to wish everyone a Happy Bittersweet Chocolate Day! 🍫
If chocolate isn’t your thing, don’t worry, we have an alternative holiday for you. Today is also Peculiar People Day… (and remember, we don’t make these up)
A few highlights of today’s newsletter:

🥩 Mosida Market: premium steaks, burgers, and cooking classes

Local Business
Mosida Market 🥩

Mosida Market recently opened up in Provo (54 N 400 W) last year, and it’s a must try!
They farm their own cows on the other side of Utah Lake. The cows are processed locally as well—so Mosida’s burgers and cuts are 100% local, American Wagyu!
🍔 The burgers at Mosida’s restaurant, Farmhouse Kitchen, are great. Classic and high quality. But the Beef-n-All sandwich is must try as well. We suggest getting both. Menu (also, really great fries)
📦️ Buy a box and bring home some premium, local beef
🐄 Pickup an entire beef or pork “share”
🥩 And, of course, you can buy some of their premium individual cuts (min. of 10lbs per purchase, and they deliver! Next-day ground delivery within Utah)
They also offer classes at their Lehi location where you can learn about different cuts of steak and how to cook the steaks. (If you go, go hungry!) The classes sell out quickly, the ones for January are all sold out and a few of the February classes only have a seat or two left. See all their upcoming classes

The Bulletin 📌
Familiar name transferring to BYU 🏈

“Next time.” ⛳️
Zac Blair, “one of the most decorated amateur golfers in Utah”, and former BYU golfer, narrowly missed securing guaranteed PGA Tour status by finishing 126th in the FedEx Cup standings for the second time—just one shot away from the top 125. (One shot meaning one shot for the entire season behind the 125th place golfer in the tour.) Despite the setback, Zac is determined to get back to having guaranteed status again. Let’s go Zac!
