2025 Mr. Inspiration Pageant 🏆️ 

“The pageant features 16 very stylish men with a variety of disabilities and life histories, and allows them to take the stage in a classy and fun competition. One aspiring gentleman will be crowned Mr. Inspiration for the next two years!”

No cost at all to attend this great event. It’s put on by Turn Community Services, and there will be a number of special performances by Dallyn Bayles, Sam Payne, and others.

BYU vs Alabama 🏀 

One of the biggest events in Utah on Thursday is happening in Newark, New Jersey.

The Cougars will face the #2 seed Alabama at 5:09pm MDT (we’ll see if they stick to that time) in the Sweet Sixteen. Let’s go Cougars!

2025 Healing Conversations Conference 🗣️

UVU is hosting nationally and internationally renowned leaders in mediation and peacebuilding to address how we can improve this great country of ours through better dialogue.

We confirmed and this event is in fact free and open to the public! Here are some of the events: “Pathways to Reconciliation: Transforming U.S. Vietnam Relations” by Carl Stauffer from the United States Institute of Peace at 10am, “Conflict Resolution among the Founders” by Eleesha Tucker at 4pm, “The Role of Identity in Healing Conversations” by Rae Kyritsi from Caldera Dialogue and Consulting Services at 1pm, and much more!

Provo Spring Home Show 🏘️ 

The Provo Spring Home Show will be happening this Friday and Saturday at the Utah Valley Convention Center and it is free to attend!

So before you board and batten every inch of your house, go get some guidance and some inspiration from all the local and national experts and vendors that will be there. (Nothing wrong with board and batten by the way.) We’ll talk about this event more in the next email, but until then check out their website for more details.

🥕 Rescue Food Monday AM Produce Sort
“Join us at 9:15 AM to sort pallets of food waste from a Utah produce wholesaler. Volunteers will:
Identify items on each pallet (access to Google Sheets required).
Restack produce in alphabetical order (heavy lifting up to 50 lbs).
Inventory produce to prepare for our Tuesday food rescue.
Depending on quality, we may also sort, wash, or clean produce when necessary.”

🌿 Planting our Future
“Help the Forest Service plant 2,000 baby trees!”
“March 29th 9:30- Noon, bring your family and friends for a unique opportunity to help the Forest Service reforest the hiking trail above Whiting Campground, Maple canyon by planting 2,000 - 1ft. trees.
Due to water line construction vegetation was taken out; we are returning it to its native state. Come join us in the fun!
• Bring shovel (we can help provide tools if need, fill out the form attached)
• Bring a water bottle and gloves, jacket if needed”

“The Provo Community Church is looking for community volunteers to help get the church spic and span for the upcoming spring and summer seasons on Saturday, March 29, 2025, from 9:00am to noon. Projects will be inside and outdoors. Bring your gloves, and a smile. A continental breakfast will be available and lunch at noon will be served for volunteers.” More info
