🏈 “The Fourth and Hold”
If the somewhat ridiculous world of sports frustrates you, just go ahead and skip this one.
For everyone else… the Big 12 reviewed the officiating of the BYU-Utah Holy War last year, including the controversial holding call (if you know you know). Now, months later, the Avalanche-Journal was able to get ahold of the Big 12’s official ruling about the play.
Greg Burks, the most official official of all the officials in the Big 12, gave the final assessment of the game, and he agreed that is was a hold. But no need to rub it in, of course, it’s just FYI. Anyway, if you’re interested you can read more about the final ruling here.
⛷ 24-25 Utah Ski Season Numbers
The numbers have been crunched and it looks like Utah had more than 6.5 million skiers this past season. A little less than last year but still above average. The skiing industry in Utah added $2.5 billion toward the state's economy and provided about 25,000 jobs as well!
⚡ Fission Nuclear Microreactor
NuCube from Idaho is coming down to do some possibly groundbreaking work in Utah in the energy industry. It’s just a test for now, but if successful it could lead to lower cost energy for Utahans, as well as power that can be “operated independently from existing power grids”, which apparently is good for rural areas.
