Foundations of Marriage

It’s wedding season and Palisades Counseling is offering a 4-session marriage program starting this week.

You might have heard of Palisades Counseling, they offer a number of counseling services, and their clients sing praises about their counselors (see their team of counselors here)…but today, we want to highlight their new program, Foundations of Marriage.

The Foundations of Marriage sessions will help couples honestly explore relationship expectations, create a foundation of understanding, and learn some practical skills as well. (A great opportunity for all couples — especially newlyweds or even engaged couples.)

🏃‍♂️ BYU Athletes Punch Tickets to Nationals
James Corrigan won his the steeplechase race, easily qualifying for nationals. He’ll be joined in Eugene by Luke Grundvig (5K), Joey Nokes and Creed Thompson (10K), and the 4x400 relay squad of Eli Hazlett, Josh Taylor, Jonah Heimuli, and Trey Jackson.

🚗 Oremfest Car Show
OremFest kicks off today with the Car Show at Scera Park. Go early because the first 2,000 people there will get a free dinner (hotdogs), and there will also be train rides and other activities as well!

🎨 Oremfest Coloring Contest
There are lots of other things coming up for OremFest. including the carnival, so if your kid wants to win an unlimited ride carnival wristband then get their drawings to the Children's Desk by noon TODAY.

🎨 Family Arts Festival Mystery at the MOA
Here’s how this one works: There are three parts to the art festival spanning 3 months. Part I is happening starting now and goes until June 28th. So anytime between them you and your family can go and solve a mystery at the MOA. Also, everyone gets a “take-home art kit to make their own mini-museum!” No cost and no registration required.

🌟 Vineyard Days: Tournament, Market, Movie
It’s easily the biggest event in Vineyard all year long and the festivities are kicking off at Grove Park, where there will be a Shoot Around Tournament (no need to register, just go and hoop — and call your own fouls), and a Children’s Farmers Market happening at the same time!
There will also be a movie at the park at dusk. The movie will be the newer-ish Space Jam with Lebron.

🏊 OremFest Pool Party
Day 2 of the OremFest will feature the OremFest Pool Party at Scera Pool. The weather should be good, entry fees are half off (kids under 2 swim free), there will be games and prizes, and everyone gets a free ice cream on the way in! 🍦

🎶🌳 Canopy Capers
“Bring your lunch and enjoy songs, stories, and a puppet show outside under the canopy.”
This is going to be an every Tuesday and Thursday thing at the Provo Library, a great one to add to your summer routine.

This year the superhero costume wearing, high-energy ska-punk, Battletram riding Aquabats will be there! (Also, Sego, Fictionist, Seaslak, Robert, Loud, Stetsch Armstronng, and more!)
Plus there will be vendors, food, bounce houses, and based on the pictures from their website maybe even a bubble pit thing. (see picture below)

🖌 Color Me Mine Camps
“Each camp runs Monday-Thursday from 10AM – 11:30AM, and offers a variety of imaginative projects including:
Clay Creations– Mold both traditional and polymer clay
Pottery Painting – Paint at least 2 unique pottery pieces
Canvas Painting – Paint a masterpiece using acrylic paint (except Week 6, which features a surprise special project!)
Slime Time – Mix up gooey fun with custom slime
Plus: gardening, tie-dye, origami, cooking, or beading necklaces depending on the camp”
For ages 5 and up, $100/kid
Each camp is themed, the first one is a Beach Party themed camp, running from June 16-19. Click the link in the title for all the details.

🏒 Hockey Camps (and more)
“Get ready for street hockey this summer! Our camp runs June 23rd–26th for 1st through 9th graders. Whether you’re just starting out or looking to sharpen your skills, this camp is the place to be. Sign up now and bring your game to the next level! All registrations include a hockey stick.”
