🚁 New “Drone Hunter” Facility in Lindon
Fortem Technologies just cut the ribbon on a new 51,000 sq ft advanced manufacturing facility in Lindon. They’re going to build different types of defense drones, including the DroneHunter F700’s, which is designed to take down enemy drones. (These cost over $150,000 to build! It’s a big drone.)
🏀 Utah Jazz Building Courts in Orem, Springville
The Utah Jazz is expanding its “Community Courts” initiative (they go around and build or refurbish basketball courts). So two brand-new basketball courts are coming to Utah County this summer courtesy of the Jazz.
The first is set to open at Windsor Park in Orem on Tuesday, June 24 at 3 p.m., and it will have a grand-opening celebration. (more on that next week)
And the 2nd will be in Springville and that’s expected to open later this summer. (At least one national publication got mixed up and said it was being built in Springfield.)

Friday Foodie
Cody’s Gastro Garage 🍔🏍

Opened in Bear Lake in 2017 by longtime Mapleton resident Chris Shurian, Cody’s Gastro Garage has cruised into downtown Springville with a fresh take on dining.
Hot Rods Meet Haute Cuisine: It’s a high-octane blend of Hot Rod and Harley passion (the space is full of classic automobilia and Harley Davidson motorcycles), and with a tank full of culinary creativity.
From the menu: 🔪 Killer Carne Asada Fries, 🚗Street Rod Tacos, 😍 Sexy Hot Ham and Swiss
Also, some of our favorites are the Hellcat, the Beer Battered Fish Basket, and the Philly Cheesesteak. The fries are great and they have amazing dipping sauce for the sweet potato fries. They should bottle it and sell it at Ream's.
Check out their menu here
For car enthusiasts, or just a food enthusiast, Cody’s Gastro Garage is a destination worth the detour. (Also, did we mention that kids eat free on Monday's and Tuesday's! 👀)

Also — one more plug for Flush Fest 🚽 — believe it or not one of us has taken a tour of the water treatment facility and it was actually very interesting and fun.
