Congrats to Kevin Young and his family!

If you’re wondering how long the extension will be, we are too. No one in the media seems to know. All we know is BYU said it will keep KY around “for the foreseeable future.”

“My family and I have loved our first year at BYU, being surrounded by great people, at a great university with shared values. I’m excited to continue to build a program based on trying to help young men prepare for the NBA, win at the highest level and do it at BYU…”

🎟 Ticket Tuesday Emails
Be on the lookout for a new Ticket Tuesday email! With so many events to highlight, we will be sending out a “ticketed/registration events” email once or twice a month. (Basically, the Reminders and Notices section is going to become its own email.)

In conjunction with this change, Monday’s emails will be able to fit more stuff happening later in the week, and Wednesday’s emails will have more info about what’s happening next week, to help you plan better.

Tomorrow

BYU’s Apple Seed: If you don’t know the Apple Seed, it’s BYU's award-winning national radio show and podcast all about stories and storytelling. And if you haven't been to the BYU broadcasting taping, it's fun, it's free, and it's cool to see all that goes on behind the scenes.

Tomorrow they are bringing in internationally recognized story teller Mara Menzies, and you’re invited to watch for free as they tape it live!

About the special guest: Mara grew up in Kenya and Scotland. It was a tough transition going from Kenya to Scotland, but she eventually learned that no matter where we are from, stories connect us all.

She now draws on her dual heritage and that's part of what make her unique. "I’m just as likely to share a story about the might of the sacred Orishas as I am to recount the tragic tale of Deirdre of the Sorrows."

So watch live and in person as they tape this special episode of the Apple Seed, Just don't wear big logos on your shirts. (“I wasn’t gonna… now I kinda wanna”)
