What’s Up Provo! Hope it’s a freeing and comfortable National No Pants Day for you today. 👖

Also, on this day 166 years ago, a group of pioneers settled what is now Heber, and they named the city, London. (They were from England.) Not long after they renamed the city Heber, after Heber C. Kimball.

Kolache Fest 🍐

Hruska’s opened up their Orem location on Monday, and it’s been a party all week! Today it’s buy one get one free if you dress up, but tomorrow is the main event.

Enjoy the kolaches, and the music, get a Hruska’s Kolaches logo drawn on your face, or maybe a giant one spray tattooed on your back. Also, Hruska’s knows we all just want to eat kolaches, so they are selling kolaches by the pound so you get more kolaches for your buck — plus all the kolaches will be miniature size so you can try as many flavors as possible! What will they think of next?!

Children's Book Festival with LeUyen Pham 📚

“I just kept doing what I was doing, kept moving slowly towards my goals, and lo and behold, I look up and find myself having published over 50 books, happily living the life of an artist and feeling very fulfilled.” – LeUyen Pham

That quote is a little outdated, LeUyen Pham has actually illustrated over 120 books.

Meet award-winning author and illustrator LeUyen Pham at the Provo Library’s Children’s Book Festival! (Some of LeUyen’s books include Outside, Inside, Big Sister, Little Sister, and The Princess in Black.)

There’s going to be an escape room, crafts, an obstacle course, and complimentary books (while supplies last) for kids 12 and under!

Voltage Rentals

Voltage Rentals opens for the season today!

Rehl and her husband Cameron and the owners of Voltage Rentals. Cameron had the idea to rent out eBikes first. So after a lot of planning they went for it! In 2021 they were able to grab a spot right at the mouth of Provo Canyon and set up shop.

They now have 20+ bikes as well as electric scooters, and, as we mentioned, they’re located at the entrance of the Provo River bike path. One great thing about eBiking in Provo Canyon, (besides the obvious), is that there’s no need to cross any roads once you’ve rented your bike. Just park, grab an eBike, get on the trail, and go!

If you’re wondering about taking some kids you should know that their eBikes are for riders 5’1” and taller. Fortunately they have bike trailers, and eScooters, too!

🕐 Their hours are normally 9am-7pm (today they open at noon), they will be in operation from now until October.
