📰 Bridal Veil’s Makeover
The plan has been in the works for a while apparently, but now with the U.S. Forest Service’s help, Utah County’s $9 million improvement plan is much closer to reality.
🚴 What’s coming:
A 90-foot bridge over the Provo River (to be put in a few hundred yards north of the falls
New bike trail to ease foot traffic
Paved, stroller-friendly trail to the lower falls
New parking and landscaped riverfront
A viewing platform at the falls
Work starts this summer and will roll out over three years. 😬 But don’t worry, the falls are going to be untouched. Only the people paths are getting a facelift. There’s a public hearing on Jun 11th.

🏥 BYU’s Medical School Location Announcement
You guessed it, BYU’s medical school will be built on the site of the old Provo High School. The site was purchased for $25 million in 2016 and in many ways it’s an ideal location for the medical school considering how close it is to BYU’s main campus as well as the Utah Valley Hospital.
Additionally, according to BYU president, Shane Reese, they are “exploring innovative approaches aimed at reducing graduation times and costs for students.”
