📈 Awardco surpasses one billion
Local company, Awardco, raised $165 million recently in their Series B round of funding, giving the company a valuation of more than $1 billion!
About the founding of Awardco in the words of Steve Sonneberg, “In the midst of [a] financially challenging time of my life, I decided to start Awardco. I borrowed $5,000, and I bought the domain name Awardco.com.” Steve ran the company on the side from 2011 until finally going full-time in 2015. Now they’re a billion dollar company — what a journey!
⚾ BYU Baseball Stuns Arizona State in Big 12 Tourney
They’re telling us to not call this an upset — so, we’ll avoid the u-word — but it’s the first time BYU baseball has won a conference tournament game since 2017!
BYU shut out Arizona State 2-0 on Wednesday thanks to pitchers Justis Reiser and Ashton Johnson who combined for a six-hit shutout. From what we can tell, it’s the Sun Devils’ first scoreless game of the season. Let’s go Bat Cats! Highlights
(Update, BYU lost to no. 4 seed Arizona in the quarterfinals yesterday 4-1)
🏒🏀 3v3 Jazz & Mammoths Tournament
Get ready to hit the courts and the street hockey rink—Utah Jazz and Utah Mammoth are hosting back-to-back 3v3 tournaments July 12 at The Shops at South Town. The basketball tournament has been a staple for a while, but this year the Mammoths are debuting their first-ever 3v3 street hockey tourney as well!
Both events include guaranteed games, team swag, and a shot at meet-and-greets with pro players. Early bird teams save $25 before June 3 if you use the code 3v3SUMMER25.

Local Hike: Primrose Overlook ⛰

School has been out for one full day, so let’s get your hiking schedule planned for the summer 😉.
Here’s one that should make your list: Primrose Overlook.
It’s a 3.1-mile out-and-back trail on the Alpine Loop, with plenty of shade, beautiful meadows, and a pretty steep final ascent to what feels like the top of the world. The view is breathtaking and deserves one more photo. (Quick note: These photos obviously weren’t taken in May, so if you go soon it will probably be wetter and snowier.)

Thanks!
Hope you enjoy the long weekend — grateful for those who made it possible. 🇺🇸
