Holiday Mountain Market 🌲

Don’t forget about Holiday Mountain Market happening today and tomorrow. It will be “bars galore” with a hot cocoa bar, a “build your own wreath” bar, and a charms bar. But also lots of great local vendors, holiday treats, and just a great way to kick off the season.

2024 Tree Lighting Concert 🎵🎄

Elleigh Marie of American Idol will be performing at this concert/tree lighting/gingerbread festival!
Elleigh is from American Fork, and the first time she auditioned for American Idol she was 16. She didn’t get far, but earlier this year she auditioned again. She nailed her audition, made it to L.A. and eventually into the top 24 contestants!
More about the event: Santa will be there at 11am, the Gingerbread Festival starts at 3pm and will feature a life-sized gingerbread village (beware of witches), and the concert starts at 5pm with the tree lighting at 6pm!

BYU vs Kansas 🏈

Tomorrow will be the first time Kansas has played at LES. We hope Kansas and their fans enjoy their first trip to Provo, to a certain extent, but let’s make sure they leave with a loss!
Here’s how game day is going to look:
🎉 Cougar Canyon (food trucks and activities, free to attend, BYUtv will be broadcasting) starts @ 5pm
✋ The Cougar Walk will be on the southwest corner of the stadium @ 6:15pm
🏈 Kickoff is @ 8:15pm
🤓 Final Fall Trivia Night at the Bean
We love it when there’s an event with trivia, it gives us an excuse to add our own trivia questions. This time they’re all animal-related, ‘cause it’s the Bean Museum:
1️⃣ Question: What is a group of bears called? Answer: A sleuth. Or sometimes they are also called a sloth.
2️⃣ Question: Reindeers eyes are golden-colored in the summer, but what color are they in the winter? Answer: Blue, it helps them see in the lower light levels.
3️⃣ Question: How tall was the Colossus Penguin? Answer: 6ft 8in. About as tall as Lebron James.
Anyway, it’s a competition between teams of 4, spots fill up fast!

Friday To-do’s
We’ll all be cleaning out our fridges today, of course, considering the holiday and everything, but there are a few other tasks on our minds as well:
✅ Decide if we should even bother raking… 🍃 Apparently there is a debate about whether to rake your leaves or not. The Spruce’s advice | Should you rake your leaves? Yes and No | What happens if you don’t according to TruGreen
✅ If we do decided to rake then get a new rake, or something better than a rake 🍂 For some of us, the leaves are only now starting to fall… So here are some ideas from Tom’s Guide article about rake alternatives.
Thanks!
Thanks for reading everyone! Have fun this weekend and Go Cougs! 😉
