What’s Up Provo! Happy First Responders Day!
About 240 million calls are made to 9-1-1 each year in the United States, roughly 7 calls per 10 people. If that ratio holds true in Provo and Orem that means our local first responders receive about 150,000 emergency calls each year! Thank you for all you do.

Local Business Spotlight: Protein House 🥛

Protein House is the protein superfood cafe you never knew you needed! They started at the Provo Farmer’s Market and then had the grand opening of their brick and mortar location in September. (1364 N Freedom Blvd Unit 1364, Provo)
They’ve got great smoothies, waffles, drinks, bowls, and even donuts! Their shakes have 24g-36g protein and are super yummy. Chocolate PB Banana, PB Oatmeal Cookie, and Cinnamon Roll are some favorites. Their waffles come savory or sweet and are also packed with protein (33g).

Most of what they serve is high in protein (hence the name), but what’s also great is all the other good-for-you stuff they add—vitamins and minerals and fiber—while staying low in sugar. Go grab a shake and get some gains! 💪

Abbey Road Beatles Tribute 🎙️

“With their tight harmonies, flawless note-for-note renditions of Beatles hits, custom–tailored costumes, vintage instruments, Liverpudlian dialect, and precise attention to every detail, Abbey Road is one of the most musically and visually satisfying Beatles tribute acts in the world. ‘See this one!’“
We pulled that straight from the Heber City website. Liverpudlian, who knew that was a word? Anyway, Abbey Road, one of the top Beatles Tribute bands in the world, has two performances today at The Ideal Playhouse in Heber!
Abbey Road performs Beatles songs from a number of albums, but of course, the Abbey Road album is a classic. Here are some of the more well known songs from the album: Here comes the Sun, Maxwell’s Hammer, Come Together, Something, Octupus’s Garden. Quick trivia: Which of the songs have been covered the most?

🧟 “You're next! You're next, You're next...!”
The Orem Library is playing the classic Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1956, Approved, 1h 20m). Some lessons you can learn from this quintessential sci-fi: Trust no one, sleep at your own risk, and remember—if your best friend’s suddenly smiling too much, it might be time to run!

(If you are wondering what Approved means as a rating, it’s because they used the Hays Code for rating movies in the 50s. MPAA ratings weren’t used until 1968.)

Every year they round up the buffalo herd on Antelope Island. About 200 riders on horseback round up the 750 bison and get them into the corrals.
Now they are all corralled and ready to be “worked”. So get to the bison corrals for an up-close opportunity to see bison and learn more about how they are managed.
Check out the site for more details. (After clicking the link you’ll have to scroll down a little bit to find the “Working of the Bison” event details.)
