What’s Up Provo! If this newsletter was a sport in the winter Olympics we’d probably be Curling 🥌. Kind of weird but strangely beloved.

Winter weather crashes

With the weather starting to actually be winter-y, that means more snow in the mountains and, unfortunately, more crashes in the valley.
If you or someone you know get in an accident, you should always call an experienced legal team.
It doesn’t cost you anything if you call Flickinger • Boulton • Robson • Weeks because they have a zero out of pocket cost policy, and they will make sure you get what you deserve from your insurance company. Without professional, experienced help you will likely get shorted.

❄️ Winter Weather?
When was the last time we’ve had over an inch of snowfall? According to what we’ve seen, it’s been almost a year.
Maybe that will change soon. The storm system we’ve been seeing recently should continue throughout the week, especially in the mountains and forecasters expect 6–12″ of snow in many northern Utah ranges.
Looking ahead… According to one Park City news publication, the extended forecast says that another foot or two of snow is possible (in the mountains) early next week.
✈️ New Breeze Flights from Provo to Burbank
Breeze just launched nonstop service between Provo and Hollywood Burbank, CA (BUR)! The route began recently and is part of an expanded West Coast network. Initial schedules include multiple weekly departures, and service is expected to grow in time.
🏡 What to Do With Vacation Rentals
Orem leaders are digging into how the city should handle short-term rentals (STRs) like Airbnb stays. The city code technically bans transient lodging, about 250 STRs still operate because past laws made enforcement tricky.
Now with state code changes, Orem is exploring options—keep the ban, create a licensing program, or find a middle ground. No meeting (that we know of) is scheduled yet.
