WHAT’S UP

🏥 New Clinic in Orem: Vamos Health Opens Its Doors
Vamos Health, a membership‑based clinic that already serves West Valley City and Ogden, opened yesterday at 230 North on State Street in Orem. Members pay about $85/month for adults and $50 for kids for unlimited visits, including primary care, urgent care and more. All providers speak English and Spanish.

📍 New Temple Site Announced for Spanish Fork
The rumors for where this one was going to be located have been circulating for a while, but now it’s official! The Spanish Fork Temple is expected to be roughly 80,000-square-foot, and will sit on a 8.7-acre site at 100 South and 2550 East in Spanish Fork, (right across from Maple Mountain High School near Spanish Fork Canyon). Depending on how quickly construction goes in relation to the other temples being built, it will be the 31st or 32nd temple in Utah.

WHAT’S COMING

Later this week

🐴❄️ Skijoring Utah
Heber is hosting one of the wildest winter events you’ll ever see, and apparently it’s the “Grandaddy of Proskijor!”

It’s a two-day competition where teams like the “Snow Stallions”, “The Devil’s Advocate’s Dumpster Fire”, “Ski-nanigans”, “Two Idiots and a Rope”, and about 50 other horse-pulled skier/snowboarder teams will fly through an obstacle course packed with jumps, gates, and ring-grabbing challenges for points. (and prize money!) It’s kind of like a rodeo, but also it’s very much not like a rodeo.

If that description didn’t help much (and it probably didn’t) just check out the website for videos of what it is like and for info about getting tickets. Some days and times are already sold out or close to selling out.

Once again, it’s a two-day event. Here’s what they said about what’s happening each day: “Friday brings high-speed qualifiers; Saturday turns up the volume with finals-level intensity, food trucks, merch, and family-friendly fun.”
Heber | Jan. 16-17 | 10am-5pm

🔥 Burn Bright
From 5 to 6 you can write your old habits on some paper and watch them burn. And at 6:15 they’ll light a bunch of trees on fire.
