🎣 Provo featured in National Publication: Best Fishing Cities in the US 2025
Did you know the Provo river is a celebrated Blue Ribbon fishery? We didn’t either, we don’t even know what that means, but we think it’s cool. Well, now that Utah Lake fishing scene has been growing, Provo has officially made FishingBooker’s 2025 list of Best U.S. Fishing Cities. We have Rainbow Trout, Brown Trout, and Cutthroat Trout, Catfish, Walleye, Northern Pike — and lots of carp!

🔥 Utah Surpasses 500 Wildfires
As of a few days ago, Utah has recorded 507 wildfires since January (by this time last year we had only 75). Since mid-May, at least one fire has ignited every single day. The biggest fire in the state so far this year is the France Canyon Fire which has burned about 35,000 acres. Stage 1 fire restrictions remain statewide, and we heard that fireworks are banned through July 25, including Pioneer Day weekend. American Fork has assigned water days to its residents, and looks like the hot weather is here to stay for a while.

🏥 Free Health Clinic to open in Orem
Bingham Family Clinic, backed by the Marc C. and Deborah H. Bingham Foundation, will not ask for insurance and will not charge out-of-pocket fees. The clinic is supposed to be opening in late 2025 or early 2026 and it is “for those who cannot access health care otherwise.”

This tribute brings together veterans, community leaders, and local scouts. We’ve heard they retire about 1,000 flags each year. Tonight the 23rd Army Band will be playing, a 21-gun salute will sound off, and concessions will be available.
