In Partnership with Wasatch Nature School
Enchanted, daring, and muddy summer camps

Real childhood is low-tech, high-imagination — and it happens outside.
Wasatch Nature School’s summer camps are built around hands-on learning that teaches kids how to learn, grow resilience, and follow their own curiosity. (Plus, they’re wildly fun.)
Here are the upcoming camps:
🌳 Camp Enchanted Forest
Embark on a special quest all week long to protect the magical creatures of the forest!
For ages 3-6 | runs from July 7-10
🐉 Camp Dragon Quest
Daily adventures filled with fierce and daring quests through 5 Dragon Kingdoms
For ages 9-11 | runs from July 14-17
🌱 Camp Muddy Buddies
Mud buildings, mud art, trail explorations, mud kitchen creations, capped off with a muddy obstacle course and reptile encounter!
For ages 5-11 | runs from July 28-31
Only a few spots left for a lot of these so move quick!

🔥 Utah County Fires
The fire on Thursday in Provo, just above the seminary building at Timpview, threatened some buildings and residences but was put out quickly by fire department. There was also a fire in Cedar Hills on Wednesday, you probably saw the smoke plume. Originally they said it was started by fireworks — now they aren’t so sure. Hopefully by the time you read this there hasn’t been another fire…
Anyway, here’s an ABC4 article with an overview of the fire restrictions in Provo. (We haven’t been able to find Orem’s fire restrictions yet.)
🏀 BYU’s Egor Demin selected by the Nets
With the 8th overall pick, he’s the highest drafted BYU basketball player since Rafael Araujo. Congrats Egor! поздравления!

Friday Foodie
Guroot 🍚

“Wow, I am from slc county, but I can definitely say Guroott is the best Korean Food in Utah.”
“I'm from South Korea, and let me tell you—this place is insanely good!! Super authentic and ridiculously delicious.”
“Hands down, the BEST Korean food I’ve had in Utah. No question.”
Pretty much a perfect 5⭐ rating on Google, hundreds of reviews — and it’s just two tables in the back corner of the Asian Market in Orem. Truly a hidden gem.
But it might not be hidden for long… This secret Korean foodie destination is becoming not-so-secret anymore, and there’s talks of moving to a larger location one day soon. But before it does, try it out now so you can say, “I was going to Guroot before it was cool.”
Recommendations: It’s all good. Even the little drink they give you at the end of the meal is delicious. Of course you’ve got to try the bibimbap, the beef bulgogi, but also consider the sundubu-jigae, the beef japchae, and the yukgaejang. From what we’ve tried and what we’ve heard, it’s all good.
