What’s Up Provo! It’s Election Day and Use Your Common Sense Day today. Seems like a good combo, but maybe not super fun. Good thing it’s also National Chicken Lady Day, too!

The events keep coming, and the weather is still amazing! Let’s enjoy it while it lasts. Lots to be grateful for—anyway, let’s get into it.

In Partnership with Valley Lights
Let us set up your lights this year

It’s the most wonderful time of year, and it’s even more wonderful if you don’t have to worry about setting up your lights.

Even better, you don’t have to worry about taking them down again in the freezing weather.

Get your lights set up by the pro’s this year. Email [email protected], or visit Valley Lights for more info.

WHAT’S UP

The state just unveiled the bold new Utah Trail Network master plan. The plan is to link about 3,100 acres of paved trails across Utah—including big chunks in Utah Valley. The plan calls for 2,600 miles of new trails and 500 miles of existing ones to connect 208 towns/cities, 6 national parks, and 25 state parks. After it’s done it means there will be a trail within one mile of 95% of Utahns.

The Jordan River Trail, Murdock Canal Trail and Provo River Parkway Trail will be affected of course. What we were most interested in were the “gap‑closure” measures they plan to take around Orem, Provo and Spanish Fork. There’s a map on their website, and it can be kind of hard to read for us color blind peoples, but hopefully the rest of you can make sense of it alright.

🍩 Ono’s is moving
Ono’s Malasadas has moved to their new PG location! Glad to see that they are growing, but this is sad news for Provo’s east benchers. We’ll keep you informed when we find out what’s replacing Ono’s. (will Ripples come back??)

BYU Womens Soccer Wins
Huge win in the Big 12 Tournament against TCU. The #8 seed takes down the #1 seed in PKs. Go Cougs! Next game is the semifinals on Wednesday.
