What’s Up Provo! Hope you were able to enjoy a free Crumbl Cookie yesterday. (They did it as part of a promotion for Martha Stewart’s new cookie that’s now on their menu.)

If you didn’t get a cookie, don’t worry, today is Fountain Pen Day! So hopefully someone gives you a free fountain pen, or something.

Anyway, hope this edition is a helpful one for you! Let’s get into it.

In Partnership with Flickinger • Boulton • Robson • Weeks
Happy Love Your Lawyer Day

WHAT’S UP

Last we checked a lot of elections are still too close to call—but we don’t cover politics anyway! So here’s some other stuff going on locally:

🌊 Virtual Waterslide
Splash Summit just announced they’ll launch Utah’s first virtual‑reality waterslide, expected to debut in summer 2026. Apparently riders will wear specially designed waterproof VR headsets as they descend a current slide. (We assume you still have lots of questions—we do, too. When we get more info we’ll let you know.)

🏈 BYU vs Texas Tech Preview
Deseret News did a good preview on the game tomorrow, here’s some of what they said:
Aaron Roderick: “This is the best defense we have played, probably since Texas in 2023, I would say. They are right up there with those guys.”
“They are No. 1 in FPI’s defensive efficiency. They have the No. 1 rush defense in the country” and they lead the Big 12 in sacks.
“BYU expects star running back LJ Martin to play” and “receiver JoJo Phillips should be back for the first time since sustaining a clavicle injury against Stanford.”

🎿 Interactive Sundance Map
Sundance Mountain Resort rolled out a brand‑new interactive 3D trail map, to help you plot your turns and stuff (if you do that kind of thing). Kind of fun if you can get the hang of it.

BYU to the Big 12 championship
As the lowest seeded team in the tournament, BYU has now taken down TCU (#5 in the country), and Baylor (#23 in the country). On Wednesday, BYU blew out Baylor 4-0 (they lost to Baylor 4-2 in the regular season), so something must have changed. The championship game will be against Kansas on Saturday at 6pm MST! (Watch it on ESPN+)
