What’s Up Provo! Happy Halloween! The forecast says the weather should be pretty good tonight, which is something to be grateful for if you’re trick-or-treating (don’t forget we often get our first snow Halloween night).
And if you’re not trick-or-treating then hopefully this email can be a treat of sorts. Let’s get into it!

Avoid Christmas lights this year…
…we’ll put them up for you.
You’ll enjoy the season more. And when the season is over, and the frigid January/February temperatures are upon us, you’ll be even more happy. Why? Because we take the lights down as part of our service.
Avoid the ice, avoid the heights, enjoy the lights.

WHAT’S UP
🐟 Big Goals for Utah Lake
City leaders have been setting some pretty carpy goals, but that’s a good thing. (ha) The goal is to make Utah Lake free of invasive carp, plus some water‑hogging plants, by 2034. Already invasive plants have been removed from about 85% of the shoreline in recent years, and 29 million pounds of carp have been removed, too. But there’s still along way to go.
🏔️ Big Honors for Sundance
We talked about big goals, now we’re talking about big honors. Anyway, the resort has once again earned the distinguished One MICHELIN Key award in the 2025 edition of the MICHELIN Guide. Sundance has been adding a number of things recently, and it is now entering its next phase with the brand‑new “Inn at Sundance” lodging which opens in January.
⚽ BYU Sports
No football game this week, hopefully our guys are getting healthy. Big basketball game on Monday (see the What’s Coming section), and congrats to the women’s team for defeating the U of U in Salt Lake City last night, 2-0!

WHAT ELSE
Local Spotlight
Greenhouse Salad Co 🥗

Greenhouse Salad Co. opened about five months ago and is a great addition to the Provo food scene. It’s the sister restaurant to Bowls Superfoods (another must-try) and sits just around the corner.
What makes it great: The atmosphere is really pleasant - the space is bright, calm, and inviting. Each salad is made fresh to order with house-made dressings. The portions are generous and everything tastes fresh. The salads get a lot of love, but we think the bowls are the best. The Honey Sriracha Salmon Bowl is a standout, and if you have room for dessert, the Lemon Cake is definitely a must.

A Few Extras: Greenhouse Salad Co. offers free delivery to Utah Valley Hospital every Wednesday — so if you want to surprise your favorite healthcare worker with something fresh and delicious, here’s your chance. And for sourdough lovers, last we heard, they also carry Scott’s Bread for purchase. 🥖
