What’s Up Provo! Here’s an extra quote for you on this National Day of Encouragement:
"We must accept finite disappointment, but never lose infinite hope." - Martin Luther King Jr.
Lots happening as always. No such thing as too much fun, let’s get into it!

In Partnership with
Walk 4 Hope

There are lots of ways to be giving back and it feels like the community needs it right now.
Check out the Walk4Hope. It’s a great event, a great cause, it is free to the public, and it includes a continental breakfast, free t-shirts, and a dove release.
Also, they will have on-site mental health providers, a pipe band, a short program with child psychiatrist Dr. Matt Swenson, and, of course, a walk!

WHAT’S UP
When it comes to the news, we try to focus on positive and helpful stories that build a sense of community in Utah county. But we would like to acknowledge the tragic event that happened this week at UVU. We know that some of you, or your family members, or your neighbors, were actually in attendance. We hope and pray for the best for Charlie’s family, the ongoing investigation, and everyone that was affected in anyway.

Friday Foodie
Swad Cabin 🍛

One year, one award: It’s hard to believe Swad Cabin has only been open a year—because in that short time, they’ve already been recognized as the Best Indian Casual Dining Restaurant in Utah! Shilpa Gupta and her team have brought homestyle Indian flavors to Spanish Fork, and in just twelve months they’ve built a reputation that food lovers across the valley rave about.
Celebrating in style: This weekend marks their very first anniversary, and they’re throwing a celebration! Each day, they’ll feature a lavish buffet with a changing menu, the perfect excuse to sample dishes you might not normally order (our advice: don’t skip the Indo-Chinese specialties like Chili Paneer, Chili Chicken, or anything with “Manchurian” in the name 😉).
To make the party even more special, there will be a henna artist on-site and local artisans showcasing Indian handicrafts. It’s the perfect chance to celebrate food, culture, and community all in one place.

Thanks for reading!
Enjoy the activities, the food, and the weather this weekend, and hopefully you find a chance to serve as well! 😉
