What’s Up Provo! Happy last day of September, and happy National Chewing Gum Day! Might be good day to pay a visit to Provo’s GUMBUG.
Lot’s happening, let get into it!

In Partnership with RURAL
The deadline approacheth

If you haven’t heard already, congress said you must have your solar system fully installed by December 31, 2025 to claim the 30% federal tax credit!
Solar installation backlogs are expected: This is going to have a big impact on prices, so as the deadline gets closer people are rushing to install solar and take advantage of the savings, (about $9,000 on average).
Naturally, that means backlogs. In short, if you’re considering solar, it’s time to get serious. Today.
Go with Rural: They are the #1 Rural Solar Energy Provider in Utah and Wyoming, they're based in Orem, and you will not see a Rural sales rep going door-to-door in your neighborhood.
Come on now, that’s something they should be rewarded for.
Just one more thing, because there’s no door-to-door sales rep involved you’re going to get a better price (plus the 30% credit if you move quick).

Reach 10,500+ locals, month after month, guaranteed.

WHAT’S UP
It was a gritty win, after falling behind in the first half the chances of the Cougars winning, according to the analytics pros, was below 30%. But the defense tightened up, and Bear stayed composed (and turnover free) as BYU eventually secured the win.
After the game Colorado’s head coach Deion Sanders commented that “the moment was too big” for some of his players.
BYU is now 4-0 (1-0 in Big 12 play), ranked no. 23, and playing West Virginia this Friday at home. Sione Moa will be out for “more than a couple of games” with an undisclosed injury, so some are concerned about the RB position. LJ Martin was out for a bit of the Colorado game with an injury, but when asked about the running backs going forward Kalani said, “We’re fine.”
☕ Starbucks Closing
Starbucks is closing hundreds of their stores across the world, and that includes the one in Provo (1158 N. University Ave.). From what we can tell, it is not being closed, but is closed already.
⚽ “Someone get a sponge bath for this field right now!”
BYU soccer beat Utah Tech 6-0 on Friday, and one of goals was an epic bicycle kick into the back of the net. Watch the highlight, and enjoy the amazing and ridiculous call by the announcer.

What to do when you get in an accident

From the experts at Flickinger • Boulton • Robson • Weeks
Tip #1: First, make sure everyone is safe and contact the police. (If you’ve wondered when contacting the police is required, Utah law says you must contact the police if there’s more than $1,500 worth of property damage or any injuries.)
Tip #2: If you’re physically able then gather info at the scene such as names and numbers of everyone involved, license plates, contact info for any witnesses, and lots of photos.
Tip #3: Be careful what you say. Some people might apologize, (even if it isn’t their fault), to help console the other driver. But be careful — statements like these can be used against you.
Here’s another tip, if you get in an accident, get a team of experts on your side to make sure everything is taken care of and done right.
If you’ve been in an accident, reach out to Flickinger • Boulton • Robson • Weeks for a free consultation.

WHAT ELSE
Local Business Spotlight
Crust Club 🥧

How it started: The story of Crust Club began with a single recipe, the famous Chicken Pot Pie. It was made in a home kitchen and shipped to families all across the nation! They grew quickly and soon they were opening their very first brick-and-mortar location in Pleasant Grove. This change led to a discovery--serving a local community, face-to-face, was just better. So they shifted from nationwide shipping to in-store sales only. Since then, they have expanded to three more locations across Utah plus one in Preston, Idaho.
Take-and-bake homestyle cooking: Crust Club offers a new take on homestyle cooking. Their take-and-bake meals include everything from family dinners to sides, and it is all made to be baked right in your own oven. That way it's still a quick and easy meal (often for those busy weeknights when cooking and cleaning is just too much) but without compromising quality or flavor.
But hey, you can still dine in! Their Pleasant Grove location also offers personal-sized meals (lunch and dinner) which you can eat in their café.
Fan favorites: Chicken Pot Pie, White Chicken Enchiladas, and Raspberry Cheesecake Pie Pockets

Poll Results 📊
Last week’s vote on the best bakery in Provo/Orem got more votes than almost any other poll. Maybe not too surprising, since it’s something a lot of people have an opinion on. Also, not too surprising was that the Provo Bakery was voted #1.
Since they won, and because their buttermilk bars are amazing, we’ll give them some free advertising: The Provo Bakery is now selling their pumpkin flavored stuff! Check it out
🥇 Provo Bakery (with almost 33% of the vote)
🥈 Shirley’s
🥉 Great Harvest
👉 and the bakery with the most write-in votes was Hruska’s
