Hank’s Story

While working as a subcontractor, Hank fell almost ten feet onto his back when the stairs beneath him collapsed.
His injuries left him out of work for several weeks, and he really needed the insurance company to do its part. Unfortunately the insurance company was attempting to sidestep their obligation to Hank, pointing to Hank’s previous (but mild) back injuries, and the fact that none of the other contractors would admit to building the faulty stairs.
The attorneys at Flickinger • Boulton • Robson • Weeks were on Hank’s side and kept up the pursuit of truth on his behalf. They pushed back against the insurance company claims and eventually convinced each of the subcontractors to admit the facts.
💯 In the end, Hank received the compensation he needed to care for himself and his family as he recovered from his fall.

WHAT’S UP
📝 Oops
Provo homeowners may need to budget an extra $100–125 on this year’s property tax bill after a human error by the county auditor’s office sent out incorrect tax rates in July.
According to the Utah County communications manager, “Someone in the auditor’s office manually entered the wrong tax rate …”
From what we’ve heard, county officials caught it before payments went through and are trying to figure out what to do. If you have any questions you can call the county - 801 851 8000.
🚧 University Ave. bridge to be rebuilt
A two-year construction project for the aging University Avenue bridge kicks off in October 2025, starting with the demolition and rebuild of the west side, followed by the east side next year. One lane in each direction will stay open throughout this time.
UDOT’s project manager Andy Spencer put it best: “You can fix it and fix it. … We’ve done all the repairs we can do, and now it’s time to renew it and start again for another 50 to 75 years.”
⚽🏈🏐 BYU Sports
Kind of a slow week for BYU sports. Women’s soccer fell 0–1 to Arkansas at South Field on Sept 2. Football sits just outside the AP Top 25 and they were given a 93.9% chance to beat Stanford this Saturday, but let’s not jinx them. Women’s Volleyball beat Northern Colorada last night, and they play again tonight against Wichita State, and tomorrow against Incarnate Word for the Nike Invitational.

Bubbakoo’s Burrito 🌯

Bubbakoo’s Burrito—a popular East Coast staple—just opened its first Utah location in Orem! It's known for bold, fusion-inspired flavors and a menu full of variety.
How it started: The story began in New Jersey back in 2008, when two friends in the restaurant world set out to combine Mexican classics with creative twists. Since then, Bubbakoo’s has expanded to over 130 locations—and now, Utah gets a taste!
Fusion and variety: The menu goes way beyond classic burritos. Options like General Tso’s chicken, Nashville Hot crispy chicken, and Pineapple Express are just examples of their signature fusion style. And the selection is great—quesadillas, tacos, bowls, wings, churros, loaded fries, cookies, and more—all with Bubbakoo’s signature flair.
