Crossing Guard Christmas 🛑 

Hi everyone! Former crossing guard here! This Christmas season we have a great opportunity to show appreciation where appreciation is due.

It is cold 🥶 out there this time of year! And sometimes it is a little dangerous as well. But it is important work—and unfortunately there is a shortage of people willing to be crossing guards.

So thank goodness for the crossing guards we DO have! They protect our children (and us as drivers) every day. But not only that—so many of them go the extra mile by learning each child’s name and making sure EACH kid goes to school, and leaves school, feeling appreciated and noticed. 💝 

So as you plan gifts for your neighbors, for your kids’ teachers, for your kids, let’s also set aside a few dollars for the crossing guard at your child’s elementary school.

In addition to voting, please also contribute to a gift for the crossing guard at your elementary school! Contribute here 💵 

Every dollar counts and the gift amount is based on your neighborhood's generosity! (A great reason to let your neighbors know as well.)

When you go to contribute you will choose the amount you want to contribute, the crossing guard you want it to go to. You can also choose to contribute anonymously. Also, credit card, Venmo, and Paypal is accepted. And 100% of your donation goes to the gift (but there is a the standard credit card processing fee).**

We will gather contributions from NOW until DEC. 18th. After the 18th each crossing guard will get a prepaid Visa card 💳️ (made up entirely of the funds collected from you and the other parents in your neighborhood) plus all the thank you notes written for them. Write a thank you note here. ✉️

*The prize will be distributed evenly amongst the crossing guards at the winning school. (A crossing guards shifts will be taken into account as well.)
