End of Summer Parties and Yurchenko

Bowling Cosmo, Gymnastics, Folk Dance and Country Music Festival

What's Up Provo!

Good morning, Provo. Happy Mountain Climbing Day! 🏔️🥾

We really should be grateful to have such beautiful mountains all around us. What would we do if we lived somewhere like Kansas on a day like Mountain Climbing Day? Let’s not think about it.

Anyway, it’s the last official month of summer and there is so much to do and see. Cosmo is going to be bowling🎳, broncos are going to be bucking🐴, and I’m hoping to see some US gymnasts land a Yurchenko (or maybe a Tsukahara).

More importantly, let’s hope they win gold!🥇

Here’s what’s happening:

Ono’s Malasadas

Ono's Malasadas are the most delicious, hand made, fresh and, made to order Malasada Donuts in Utah! (Also, we now have sandwiches!) Come try them for yourself!

Located in the old Ripples location on Canyon Road.

The Utah County Fair this year is running from July 31st to August 3rd and on the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd there will be a music festival.

Tonight is the Country Music Festival, tomorrow is the Indie Music Festival, and on Saturday it’s the Classic Rock festival.

Each day/evening 5 or 6 artists/bands are going to be playing—and it’s free! Hopefully there will be some comfortable, shady places to watch the performances.🌳

See the full details and schedule below:

International Folk Dance Festival 💃🏽🌏

Springville High School @ 6pm

Groups from all over the world are traveling to Utah County for this 3 day festivals. (People around Utah County volunteered to house a lot of the performers—kind of a unique and fun thing which I assume they do every year.)

The shows are at 6pm and will be showing today, tomorrow and Saturday.

There will be live music and performances, of course, but also “global food trucks”, photo-ops, kids activities, giveaways, and more.

Tickets are $5 but they might offer group discounts.

What’s Good

Summer may be slipping away—but it’s not gone yet. We feel like every summer day is gift, that’s why this quote stuck out:

“Yesterday is history. Tomorrow is a mystery. Today is a gift. That is why it is called the present.”

Alice Morse Earle

Great quote. I thought Oogway from Kung Fu Panda said it first. You probably did too. Now we know.

Make it great day!
